Well, I am here to answer any questions you might have as you begin the simple process of ordering one of my Custom Painted Pet Portraits.

What type of paint do you use?
I am an acrylic artist and use high quality, artist grade acrylic paints for my pet portraits. 

Do you only offer portraits on canvas?
No, I offer portraits 3 different ways. I offer portraits on a variety of gallery wrapped canvases, that are 5/8 inch thick. I also offer mini portraits/ornaments on 4-inch diameter wooden discs or 3X4 inch rectangles, as well as various sizes in cradled wood panels for my wood portraits.

I just placed an order online, now what? How do I send you my pet's pictures?
Upon ordering, please send me an email to sarahgohmanart@gmail.com with 2-3 high-resolution, forward-facing pictures in good lighting so that I can clearly see your pet's hair coloring and features. Since I paint from your photo, the pictures you send are the only means I have to paint as close to what they look like as possible. I pride myself in doing my very best to match their true colorings and capture all of the details! However, please remember that I have never met your pet so I'm counting on you to send photos that are a great representation of their cuteness.

Can I fit more than one pet on a portrait?
Yes! Depending on the size of the portrait, I offer the option to add multiple pets on 1 canvas. Keep in mind, the smaller you go; the more details can be lost. My current sizes are 4x4,5x7, 6x6, 8x10, 12x12, 11x14, 16x20. The number of pets I offer on the same canvas varies by size. If you want more pets on one canvas than what is shown in my listing, just message me to discuss more!

*Pricing will vary for more than 3 additional pets on a portrait. 

Do you offer a discount if I order more than one portrait?
Yes! My portraits are buy 1, get 1 20% off always for all of my pet portrait options! Yep, this applies to all of my portraits, mix and match.

Are the portraits ready to hang on my wall?
Yes! All of my canvas and wood panel portraits will arrive with a hanging wire or sawtooth hanger (for the smaller sizes) attached to the back, so they are ready to hang in your home!

Will my portrait be sealed?
Yes, I apply an archival, artist grade satin or semi gloss varnish to each portrait to seal in the colors and help protect the portrait surface.

How will my painting be shipped?
I wrap all of my paintings first in an archival paper specifically made for artwork. It is then wrapped in bubble wrap and additional paper is added to ensure it doesn't move around too much in the box. Depending on your desire shipping, it is shipped via USPS or FedEx.

How long will it take to get my portrait? Please allow 2-3 weeks for your order to ship. Rush shipping is available. 

I'm looking for a Christmas gift, how do you handle orders during the Holidays?

• Pet Portraits: Every fall I start to receive orders for Christmas gifts. So, beginning October 1st* I set a fixed amount of orders (spots) I am physically able to finish before my cutoff date of Dec 1st, I call this my Holiday Portrait list. This cutoff date may vary depending on if my list fills up before the cutoff date or not. Once my list fills up, any order placed after that date will not ship until after Jan 1. Basically, December gets crazy busy filled with lots of family fun during the holiday season which is so important to me! If you are wanting a pet portrait, order early to get on my list and secure a spot! 
• For ready to ship artwork or other items in my shop: I typically post a final shipping date* for all orders, this is to ensure they get to their destination before Christmas.
